Skyline employs a fundamental, bottom-up methodology characterized by three factors:
- A value-oriented approach
They select stocks that Skyline believes have below-average valuations.
- Attention to earnings growth
They attempt to identify companies with attractive earnings prospects.
- A focus on under-followed, neglected, out-of-favor stocks
They search for good companies that are overlooked or not widely followed through their intense in-house research efforts.
Typically Skyline invests in firms with a market capitalization less than $2.5 billion. Skyline will:
- Attempt to keep a portfolio's P/E ratio consistently below that of the Russell 2000.
- Generally sell stocks when they rise to a predetermined price target.
