Fund Objective
The Managers Global Bond Fund’s objective is to achieve income and capital appreciation by investing in high quality foreign and domestic fixed-income securities.
Fund Strategy
The Managers Global Bond Fund seeks both income and capital appreciation by investing in high quality domestic and foreign fixed-income securities. The Fund ordinarily invests at least 80% of its assets in bonds and invests principally in investment grade U.S. and foreign bonds and in securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. and foreign governments, their agencies and instrumentalities, and supranational organizations such as the World Bank and the United Nations.
The Fund may also invest in both U.S. dollar and non-U.S. dollar denominated securities. Average maturity is generally expected to be ten years or less. The Fund may engage in currency hedging strategies through the use of forward currency exchange contracts, options and futures contracts. The Fund's benchmark is the Lehman Brothers Global Aggregate Bond Index.

Changing interest rates may adversely affect the value of an investment. An increase in interest rates typically causes the value of bonds and other fixed income securities to fall.
