Systematic Financial Management believes that better long-term returns can be achieved through the construction and management of a diversified, fundamentally sound portfolio. Systematic does not buy companies simply because they are cheap based on traditional valuation methods. Systematic believes that many of these companies only get cheaper because there is no catalyst for price appreciation. Systematic’s goal is to avoid “cheap” companies and to invest in “value” companies that have a confirmed catalyst for stock price appreciation.
